Beach pavilions along the entire Dutch coastline drew attention to their situation with a large playful campaign on 8 April 2020. Operators are under heavy financial pressure because they cannot make use of the NOW scheme to help pay for wage costs. ‘Strandtenten in het NOW’, was the cry for help that was written on the beach from Callantsoog to Schiermonnikoog with beach beds, umbrellas and surfboards.
